What I do

I offer counselling and therapy in East Lothian, Edinburgh, online, and outdoors, creating a warm, supportive space to explore what matters most to you.

I offer counselling and therapy in East Lothian, Edinburgh, online, and outdoors. However we meet — in the peaceful EH1 Therapies office in central Edinburgh, in the rural setting of East Lothian, out walking in nature, or online — my aim is to provide a warm, accepting space where you can bring whatever is on your mind.

My approach is rooted in Transactional Analysis, with a strong belief in I’m OK, You’re OK. This means I see our work as a collaborative journey — you bring your story, your pace, and your goals, and I bring curiosity, presence, and the tools to help you make sense of what’s happening. We might look at patterns in your relationships, the beliefs you’ve carried since childhood, or the ways you’ve learned to protect yourself that may no longer serve you.

I also work with people moving into new phases of living — whether through retirement, adjusting to changes in health, shifts in identity, or simply a change in perspective. These times can bring reflection and change, with questions of purpose, identity, and legacy often coming into focus. While they may carry challenges, they can also be a rich stage of growth — a chance to reframe what matters most and to find new meaning in the present.

Life Transitions

Reflection

Repeated Patterns

Some people come to therapy to work through grief or loss, life transitions, trauma, or repeating patterns they can’t seem to break. Others simply want space to reflect, untangle their thoughts, or learn to relate to themselves more kindly. However you arrive, my aim is to offer support that meets you where you are and helps you move forward in a way that feels right for you.
